What cookies are
Cookies are small text files which are automatically downloaded by browsers which store them on the device they are running on (PC, tablet, smartphone, etc.).
They contain basic information on Internet navigation and - through the browser - are recognized every time the user goes back to the same site which produced them.

Types of cookies used by this website
Our website only uses cookies which are:

• "first party" (i.e. they are only written by and can only be read by our servers).
• "technical". Those are cookies which are used only to "transmit on an electronic communication network or are strictly needed by a service provider to provide such service which was explicitly requested by the user" (art. 122, sub 1, Italian Privacy Code).
• "analytical". Those are cookies which are used to gather information, in aggregated form, on the number of users and on how the visit the website. If they are "first party", they are assimilated to "technical" cookies by current regulations.

What current regulations prescribe
For "technical" or "first-party analytical" cookies current regulations state that website operators are:

• required to provide users with an information note (which is exactly the purpose of this page). However, for thses types of cookies, the website owner can choose the presentation method he deems most appropriate for such information (in other words the use of a "cookies popup" is not mandatory);
• not required to ask for consent from the user to write / read such cookies.
