Gaming and "Sensitive Locations"
CTB has developed a specific service for the Gamig Industry in order to support Companies in identifying at local level the areas where they can
open and / or transfer operations (such as arcades, betting points, VLT and the like) while complying with specific distance parameters (e.g. 500 meters)
from "Sensitive Locations" such as schools, places of worship, wards and medical centers, youth meeting places, etc.
This support is provided for each Italian Municipality with a micro-territorial detail level (Census Blocks) in order to identify with the maximum focus which areas are eligible for consideration by Gaming Companies for openings and / or transfer of gaming operations. CTB has designed its support process to make it always updated with with the specific regulations set by Local Authorities (at Regional and / or at Municipal level) as well as the needs of the Client (the Gaming Company). To this end each project/analysis will be customized to a specific geographic area(s) and to the type of estabishment / gaming activity set by the Client Company's brief. This allows us to identify the specific requirements mandated by Regional / Municipal Authorities regarding "Sensitive Locations" and the minimum distance from them that new Gaming Establishments have to comply with, as well as to map internal and external competition (all existing gaming establishments are geocoded and on file), hence to focus the effort on the actual Client's need. Moreover, CTB has devised for each Census Block a Gaming Potential Index (expressed in ten-thousandths) derived from the analysis of socio-demographic variables (population, demand, competition) and the propensity of the resident population to the different types of gaming offer. Such index, applied to the area identified as eligible for the opening and / or transfer of a gaming establishment, greatly enhances the value we are able to deliver to our Client in terms of assessment and selection of the micro-areas with the highest oppoertunities.
